Choose the accent you are learning, teaching, or checking: American for US English, British for UK English. You can switch dictionaries anytime with the dialect control in the converter.

Results depend on the selected dictionary: if a word is missing with British selected, switch to American in the converter and try again; with American selected, a miss has already checked the British dictionary. Trying a standard alternative spelling can also help, and names and places are not guaranteed to be included.
