The terms governing your use of IPA Translator

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of IPA Translator ("the Service") at ipatranslator.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
IPA Translator converts text into International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcriptions, provides spoken-style transcription using AI models, generates text-to-speech audio, and offers share links and related learning tools. Some features are free; paid features require an active subscription.
Purchases are processed through Waffo Pancake. Waffo processes the payment and supplies any applicable receipt, tax document, and provider-specific billing terms. Waffo's own terms may apply to the payment transaction.
Paid plans (Plus, Pro) renew automatically at the interval you selected (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel anytime via the customer portal in Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, applied from your next renewal. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

These rules apply only when you choose to make a transcription publicly available with a Share link. They do not prohibit legitimate use of the Service to transcribe neutral words, passages, or other lawful text.
Do not use a public Share link to display or distribute:
To report a public Share link or a possible violation of these rules, email support@ipatranslator.com and include the link where possible. We review reports with human judgment and context. A report alone is not proof of a violation and does not automatically remove a page. Following a report or a rule violation, we may remove or disable public access to a shared page without prior notice.
You retain the rights you have in the text you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that text solely to provide the Service to you (including sending it to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy). If you create a share link, you additionally grant us the right to display that snapshot to anyone with the link until it expires. You represent that you have the right to submit the content you provide.
Transcriptions, pronunciations, and audio are generated automatically. Some spoken-style results may involve third-party AI models. They are provided for reference only, may contain errors or regional variations, and do not constitute professional linguistic, educational, or examination advice. You are responsible for verifying output before relying on it (e.g., in published material or assessments).
The Service, its software, design, and original content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no rights except the limited right to use the Service as intended.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or USD 50 if you paid nothing).
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings → Security. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, fraud, or abuse, with notice where practicable. Provisions that by their nature survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify registered users by email in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
